Territory Sales Representative (commission based opportunity only)

Founded in 2018 in downtown Montreal, SFTec Inc. is a professional entrepreneurial Canadian (QC) based company specialized in the business of the composite rebar. 

#SFT branded products are designed in Canada and are manufactured in China by Shandong Safety Industries Co. Ltd., a leader in the field of the FRP rebar industry, that specializes in the manufacturing of high-quality Fiber Reinforced Polymer products for concrete reinforcement and restoration. 

We are currently expanding our team and looking to hire an independent contractor for a Territory Sales Representative position to help us develop the US market

The Sales Representative’s role is to identify, introduce, develop and nurture business relationships with companies and individuals within the designated territory.  The Sales Representative’s goal is to generate and maximize revenue for the company.  This is an excellent opportunity for motivated self-starters who want to enhance their skills.

Reporting to the Director of Sales the Territory Sales Representative’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Familiarizing yourself with all products and services offered by our company.
  • Implementing sales and marketing strategies; and analyzing trends and results in the assigned territory.
  • Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; and projecting sales volumes.
  • Procuring new clients through direct contact, word-of-mouth, attending expositions and collaborating with the marketing department.
  • Attending networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients.
  • Maintaining sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Maintaining meaningful relationships with existing clients to ensure that they are retained.
  • Suggesting upgrades or added products and services that may be of interest to clients.
  • Negotiating with clients to secure the most attractive prices.
  • Reviewing clients’ feedback and implementing necessary changes.
  • Remaining in tune with trends in consumption to ensure that our offerings remain relevant.
  • Attending weekly sales meeting 

Territory Sales Representative Qualifications/Skills:

  • Willingness to learn
  • Highly motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Solid and proven computer skill set (knowledge of MS Office is preferred) + experience with CRM
  • Ability to generate revenue by identifying pain points and suggesting suitable products or services 
  • Creating and implementing a sales plan
  • Meeting sales goals by monitoring progress
  • Presentation skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, and / or structural or civil engineering 
  • 3 – 5 years in sales in the construction (concrete reinforcement) industry is preferred 
  • Valid driver’s license + willingness to use own car to travel & visit clients
  • Proven track record of positive sales performance

Working Conditions:  Independent Contractor, Work from home, online meetings, travel to meet clients and attend exhibitions and trade shows, an opportunity to grow into a leadership position in our growing company.

Working hours: Flexible. 

Compensation:  Commission based only. 

Start date: As soon as possible.
